It also fits well with the Helion legs that I had in my bits box (well, chest). The Lizardman kit is great, straightforward to put together and with plenty of extra bits. I bought some Terradon Riders/Ripperdactyls for some Guardian “Jet” Bikers. I have been making a fair bit of progress recently (for me at least). So, taking inspiration from my boyfriend (you’ve read his blog over at Red Squig Racing haven’t you?) and set myself goals for my hobbying. I post something, feel good about it, think: “Right, now it’s time to get back on schedule!” and then procrastinate. What do you want to read? Let me know! Looking forward to this writing venture and, as always, there are no wolves on Fenris.Right, I’m getting annoyed with myself. I also hope to hear from YOU, the reader, with suggestions on what I can write. I will write opinion pieces, battle reports, hobby advice, and army advice. So, what can you expect from me? Well, I hope to provide content that is positively toned and accurately translates my love of the hobby. Lastly, it is so much FUN! Despite what you may read on the Internet, our hobby is a game, and games are meant to be fun. He has ALS and can’t do this any more, but I am working on his Imperial Guard miniatures for him. Secondly, I get very nostalgic when I play because it was something my Dad and I would do together while I was in Middle and High School. This is what first got me into the hobby. First, it gives me a fantastic outlet for my creativity. I have run a gaming club at my high school, and have seen some kids truly thrive in the hobby.

Professionally, I am a high school English teacher in Alabama, and I absolutely love my job.

When I am not hobbying or playing games, I enjoy being a husband to a wife that tolerates my unconventional (and expensive) hobby and father to a two-year-old daughter (that I am slowly getting interested in the hobby). I have recently started playing more frequently and more competitively (read: small tournaments at my FLGS, nothing major). I have faithfully remained a Space Wolves player, though I do have a strong interest in building a Tau army (own several units and codex already) and an Astra Militarum force (more on this later). My army changed with every new codex that I acquired during the days of 3rd Edition. I started as a generic Space Marines player, and I have played Blood Angels, Black Templars, and Space Wolves. I have played other games, but 40k is my first love, and I always come back to it. Well, let me try to address this.įirst, I have been involved in this hobby since 1998, when I was in the sixth grade. Hello fellow wargamers! I am very excited about the opportunity I have to post content on 3++ is the New Black on one of my favorite topics: Warhammer 40,000! But you’re probably wondering who I am and why you should read what I write.
